Normal role description: | PTPRT is a receptor protein tyrosine phosphatase expressed primarily in the CNS. PTPRT contains an extracellular domain thought to function in cell adhesion and two intracellular catalytic domains. Mutations in PTPRT which reduce phosphatase activity were observed in colorectal cancers which indicate a tumour suppressor role for PTPRT. |
