Normal role description: AMSH is an adapter protein involved in cytokine/JAK/STAT signalling. AMSH is required for signal propagation that ultimately converges in MYC signalling and cell growth. AMSH is a zinc metalloprotease that specifically cleaves 'Lys-63'-linked polyubiquitin chains and thus prevents ubiquitin-mediated protein destruction of various targets in the JAK/STAT pathway.
