Normal role description: | Member of the Dbl family of GEFs. Plays an important role in hematopoiesis, in T-cell and B-cell development and activation. Functions in various signalling cascades. Acts as GEF for Rac1, Rac2 and RhoG. Its activity is regulated by tyrosine phosphorylation. Interaction with Nef proteins from HIV-1 leads to increased VAV activity. Implictaed in neuroblastoma and pancreatic tumours. |
