Cancer Protein Description
This report provides a detailed description of a selected cancer protein with information collected from various sources, including UniProt, the Wellcome Trust Sanger Institute’s Catalogue of Somatic Mutations in Cancer (COSMIC), and the Atlas of Genetics and Cytogenetics in Oncology and Haematology.

Normal role description: | Transcription factor mostly found in neuronal tissue. A-allele SNP LMO1 gene, rs110419 (A/G) upregulates LMO1 expression and positively correlates with neuroblastoma development. Conversely, LMO1 upregulation via TGF-beta signalling in gastric epithelial cells promotes apoptosis. |
