Normal role description: | IL3RA along with IL3RBeta form the IL3Receptor complex localized to the plasma membrane and is involved in IL3 binding and signalling. IL3 is a secreted cytokine involved in the development of hematopoietic cells into erythrocyte, leukocyte and lymphocyte lineages. Elevated expression of IL3RA has been observed in cases of acute myeloid leukemia, B lymphoid leukemia and hairy cell leukemia and may have a role in promoting cell growth and proliferation in cancer. |
