Normal role description: | CSNK1A1 is a cytoplasmic kinase that may phosphorylate many proteins and participate in many signalling pathways, such as a negative regulator of the Wnt pathway. While it may function as a tumour suppressor by inhibiting the Wnt pathway for example, it may also function as a oncoprotein by stimulating cytokine production and lymphocyte proliferation, and also prevent apoptosis. It may also play a role in chromosomal segregation during mitosis. |
