Normal role description: | TEK is a receptor tyrosine kinase. It is expressed on endothelial cells and is involved in cell-smooth muscle cell communication, venous morphogenesis, angiogenesis and vessel remodeling. It is also implicated in cell surival, cell migration and adhesion to cells and matrix. Overexpression is associated with many cell types and promote angiogenesis. |
