Normal role description: | Inhibitory regulator of the Ras-cyclic AMP pathway. Binds inositol tetrakisphosphate (IP4) with high affinity. Stimulates the GTPase activity of normal RAS p21 but not its oncogenic counterpart. May therefore function as an inhibitor of Ras pathway oncogenesis except if oncogenesis is directly driven by Ras protein mutations or constituent activation occurs in downstream targets. |
