Normal role description: DAB2IP is a RasGAP protein. It inactivates Ras by inducing the catalysis of GTP to GDP. It is also found to activate TNF/TRAF2-induced MAP3K5-JNK resulting in apoptosis. Expression is decreased in cancer leading to dysregulation of Ras pathway.
