Normal role description: | GLTSCR2 is a nuclear localized protein found to physically interact with and regulate the tumour suppressor protein PTEN. GLTSCR2 was found to increase PTEN stability in cells and may have a role in inducing apoptosis in cells. The GLTSCR2 locus is frequently underexpressed in glioma and neuroblastomas and aberrant expression of GLTSCR2 has been linked with the development of these cancers. |
