Normal role description: | DKK2 can decrease Wnt signalling by inhibiting Wnt and LRP5/6 interaction and promote the internalization of LRP5/6. It plays an important role in vertebrate development and regulates antero-posterior axial patterning, limb development, somitogenesis, and eye formation. In the adult human, DKK2 may be involved in bone formation and disease, and cancer. It has been shown to promote angiogenesis in human endothelial cells. |
